My hydrangea jewellery collection is inspired by my lifelong love of this exuberant bloom. Whilst visiting my friend’s beautiful garden, I was truly amazed by the many different varieties of hydrangea she had. Blue Bonnet, Lanarth White, and Hamburg, to name a few. It was the Bluebird type that truly captured my attention; a beautiful large lacecap, with rich blue flowers surrounded by pale blue flowers, the leaves of which turn red in autumn. I brought some heads home to dry and used the electroforming process to harden them up and create a model for my hydrangea jewellery collection.

I bought a pair of Hydrangea earrings for my mother’s birthday. She is a big fan of English country gardens as well as silver jewellery so was suitably thrilled with her gift. Thanks Jane!
