One harvest my husband, came in from the garden and gave me two quinces. What to do? I couldn't make jam with two quinces! I put them on the back of the AGA, and I was fascinated by the way they developed: giving a wonderfully, contoured, gnarled appearance.
These Hoop Earrings are a classic style and go with everything.
I discovered using one of my small hand tools I could create this frosted look on these earrings and then I have slightly domed them to create a softer look and added a small piece of Keum-Boo to the centre. Keum-Boo is an ancient technique to apply gold sheet to silver.
The earrings are 1cm square.
These earrings are made of Amber which has been colour enhanced to give a vibrant red. Red is my favourite colour and I could not resist buying these as they are an amazing shade real eye catchers. As is typical of the Germans these stones are beautifully cut and are smooth elongated teardrops 30mm long. I have used frosted square silver ear studs and a small frosted ball to hang them from making them 50mm long in total.
